We hope you've noticed the reminder about FTC disclosure requirements that is included in the footer of all our newsletters. We include this information because it's that important to do properly. In short, because there exists a financial relationship between you and Perdue Farms, that fact needs to be disclosed to your audience. Compliance with this requirement is monitored by the Federal Trade Commission (FTC). They can (and sometimes do) levy significant penalties for violation.
In addition to the information linked within the footer, you can learn more about this requirement from the Performance Marketing Association (PMA). Last year they compiled some resources from their member base that contain some interpretations and examples of how to comply. In addition, another great resource (started in 2013 but updated regularly) is maintained by Tricia Meyer, a Perdue Farms affiliate who is also an attorney (and the executive director of the PMA).
We strongly encourage you to review your affiliate link disclosure compliance status regularly.
