Many affiliates work very hard to build out their social media presence (and that's a good thing, up to a point). While putting all their energy into these platforms, they often fail to realize that they don't truly own these spaces. In effect, they are "rented storefronts" at best, and just like downtown rented space, you can be evicted (many found that out late last year).
What can you do? Here are some tips. In all your efforts, don't forget to build your brand. That especially includes your website and your email list (and for many, subscriber content, courses, consulting, etc.). In fact, you may find it better to post on your website first (Google may value that more also) and then share that post secondarily on social media. Also, if you do a lot of evergreen video, be sure to keep a copy instead of relying on YouTube to do that for you. Even better, you may benefit by hosting that video yourself. After all, why give Google power to siphon off your viewers with their ads and competing videos?
Finally, I mentioned email above. Seriously, don't forget email. It's the channel with the highest rate of return on marketing budget (and it's doing even better now due to mobile devices). Here are 10 email marketing stats you need to know (published last month) if you want some ideas and details.
In addition to affiliate questions about Perdue Farms, reach out to me if you want to talk about email, video hosting, your website, or affiliate marketing in general. I have many low-cost recommendations I can share with you that enable you to own your space within these channels.
How We Help to Protect Pollinator Populations
In 2018, we planted 250,000 native and pollinator-friendly plants on the solar array adjacent to Perdue Farms’ headquarters in Salisbury, Maryland. In spring 2020, the plants bloomed, making us the first poultry company in the state — and the U.S.! — to have a pollinator-friendly ground cover at a company solar installation. In recognition of our efforts, we were awarded the Governor’s Citation, which was presented by Lieutenant Governor Boyd K. Rutherford.
Thank you again and please let us know what we can do for you!
