JDI - Just do it - is an override feature that lets you force through a change even when you don't have the availability to do it.
This is because sometimes, with the customer in front of you, having BRM say 'NO' can be very frustrating and it buys you the time to check the bike out and sort out the issue later (perhaps someone else checked out the wrong bike earlier??)
But with this power comes responsibility and of course, the scope for doing something and then not fixing it can leave you open to further problems. For this reason, JDI was always behind an optional feature scope.
We have gone one step further and allowed JDI to be enabled at the user level for greater control:
Please read about the risks of JDI before you consider using it.
If you want to use this feature - turn it on for certain power-users, and don't forget to diable the global scope!
