Yesterday in my Zoom Speaking class, one of my students asked if we could practice this recent question:
Describe an elderly person you admire.
You should say:
and explain why you admire him/ her so much.
I always advise my students to talk about someone who is STILL ALIVE, as the question specifically asks.
WHY?
Because I've seen candidates getting so upset in their IELTS speaking interview that they couldn't continue.
Here's what happened when my students chose to talk about someone who had passed away!
