On Day 1 of my Listening Course, we go through common tricks that can lose you points in Part 1 of the Listening Test.
Here's one - can you hear the difference between 15 and 50? Sometimes even first language speakers can't hear the difference, and they often have to check (they say "Do you mean one five? Or 5 zero?").
This is of course the same problem for other numbers eg. 13/30, 14/40 etc (for times, addresses, phone numbers and prices in Part 1).
What does the lady say in this extract? "That would only cost you $7. ________"?
The only way you can tell the difference is from the STRESS PATTERN (this is why it is so important that you learn about word stress).
ThirTEEN, FourTEEN, FifTEEN (stress on the second syllable)
THIRty, FORty, FIFty (stress on the second syllable)
