GT Letter of PRAISE to a restaurant manager
You and some friends ate a meal at a restaurant to celebrate a special occasion, and you were very pleased with the food and service.
Write a letter to the restaurant manager. In your letter:- give details of your visit to the restaurant
- explain the reason for the celebration
- say what was good about the food and the service
The first 2 bullet points are very similar - is it ok to merge them?
It's absolutely fine. You don't need to develop each point in the way that you do in Writing Task 2.
You just need to write a letter so that the reader can understand your message.
It would be unnatural to say, for example:
"I went to your restaurant last week with 3 members of my family on Saturday the 29th June 2024, arriving at approximately 18:59 having driven there via the M25, where we encountered heavy traffic."
