Spelling and pronunciation: the magic e
Today's a good day to review the 'magic e' pronunciation and spelling patterns.
See what happens when you add "e" to 'breath' | breθ | - it changes to briːð (breathe).
But then you drop the 'e' for 'breathing' (but keep the iːð sound)
