Stop the AI hijacking our characters

Often the the AI decides the responses of our characters. The lines "You decided to" is so irritating coming from the AI messages. Are we talking to the AI or is the AI talking for us? I suggest that the AI has no control over our character outside of story mode. The AI shouldn't decide what I do or say. Or what is the point of me participating in this?
