We’ve just rolled out two new improvements to make batch tracking more flexible and easier to manage:
✅ Receive the Same Batch Across Multiple POs or GRNs
You can now receive quantities for the same batch number across multiple Purchase Orders (POs) or multiple Goods Receipt Notes (GRNs)
For example, if a PO has 8 units ordered and you initially receive 6 units into a batch, you can later receive the remaining 2 units into the same batch number (with the same expiry date).
The system will automatically:
Consolidate quantities under the same batch
Reflect the full received quantity in Batch & Serials
Show the full history in the Traceability Report (including each receipt)
This gives you more flexibility when deliveries arrive in parts.
✏️ Rename Existing Batch Numbers
You can now easily edit and rename batch numbers after they’ve been created.
Simply:
Toggle edit mode in the Batch & Serials view
Update the batch name
Save your changes
The new batch name will immediately update across:
Product batch listings
Traceability reports
Related inventory records
Perfect for correcting mistakes or aligning batch names with supplier references.
