Knowing weekly demand is only useful if you also know what's already on its way. The stock projection layer adds that: incoming purchase orders are included in the forward-looking stock position so Qoblex won't tell you to reorder units that are already in transit.
How the projection works:
On top of incoming supply, the system calculates the required receipt quantity and date: how much you need to receive, and by when, to cover 12 weeks of forecast demand for the selected location.
If a safety stock value already exists for the product, it's included in the coverage target. If not, safety stock is treated as zero — no new setup workflow was introduced in V1.
Supplier lead time is read from the variant-supplier relationship for the supplier you intend to order from. If a lead time is missing on that relationship, a warning is shown. Lead time is visible in the recommendation context so you can see exactly what the system is using.
