Upcoming Changes to Captions Plus Requirements
Effective November 25, 2024 at 8:00 am Central, we will be making changes to the requirements for Revver Plus for Captioners. The changes are as follows:
- 120-day minutes requirement: 800 (down from 1,200)
- Average accuracy score: 4.80 (up from 4.70)
- Average formatting score: 4.80 (up from 4.50)
- Average alignment score: 4.80 (up from 4.50)
The average accuracy, formatting, and alignment scores will continue to be calculated following tenure-based grading. This means if you have been a Revver for longer than a year, your metrics will be calculated based on your last 30 and last 60 grades, and the higher of the two will be used.
The majority of Revvers will be unaffected by these changes. A very small percentage of Revvers will lose access to Plus due to the new quality metrics, primarily for Accuracy, and a slightly larger percentage will be able to move up to Plus based on their minutes. We hope that the interval before this change will allow more Revvers to raise their metrics to align with the new requirements before November 25.
We are making these changes to better align Revver Plus requirements with Rev’s Transcription line of business, to put more emphasis on quality instead of minutes completed, and to ease Revver concerns about lower available work volume.
