Late Payment Fee Feature

Owners or admins can set up a late payment fee rule for rent or maintenance fees. For example, if the payment isn’t made within 6 days of the due date, a late fee of $150 (or another specified amount) is automatically applied.
The system calculates the fee, updates the tenant’s outstanding balance, and sends notifications to both the tenant and admin. Automated reminders can be sent before the due date, and the system can adjust the final payment amount if made after the due date. The feature can be customized for different owners or units, ensuring flexibility.
This helps reduce late payments, incentivizes tenants to pay on time, and provides a revenue stream for owners. It also saves admins time by automating the process, improving efficiency and transparency in payment tracking.
