Your system should allow for the restaurant to create work stations for the kitchen (back of the house) When a product is added to the system it should allow for the admin to select which station prepares that item when the item is ordered. When the item is ordered a ticket should show on a dedicated "Pending" screen/tab/panel that the kitchen can view for their station and see only items they need to prepare. When they prepare the item they should be able to mark that item as made and it goes to a "completed" screen/tab/panel. At any time the person at that station can reopen the completed ticket and it will move back to the pending screen/tab/panel. The items show up with any special instructions or details pertaining to that item. There should also be a timer that is showing how long that item has been pending at that station. There should also be color coded headers or backgrounds of the pending item to indicate how long it is taking to prepare that item. admin can set those up.
