I suggest some improvements to enhance order handling and kitchen communication, helping restaurants better organize and prioritize orders based on their operational needs.
1. Sequence Management for Dishes Served:
Introduce a feature to manage the serving sequence for the same table. For example, if one customer orders an appetizer, another a main course, and another a second course, they can all be grouped in the same “first round” of service, ensuring smoother coordination.
2. Cooking Instructions:
Allow waiters (or customers ordering at the table) to add special cooking instructions for dishes (e.g., “medium-rare”, “no garlic”, “extra sauce”). These notes should appear on the KOT to guarantee customized preparation.
These features would make the system more flexible, professional, and better suited to real restaurant operations.
