Secured (OTP Based) TableQR Scan
To ensure secure and authentic table-side ordering, implementing OTP (One-Time Password) verification when a customer scans the QR code placed on the table is necessary.
Currently, anyone can take a photo of the QR code and place an order remotely, potentially causing misuse by placing unauthorized orders to a specific table.
By enabling OTP verification:
The customer will be prompted to enter a valid mobile number upon scanning the QR code.
A one-time password (OTP) will be sent via SMS for authentication.
Only after successful verification can the customer proceed to view the menu and place an order for that table.
This ensures that orders can only be placed by genuine customers physically present at the table, significantly reducing the risk of exploitation and enhancing operational reliability for restaurant staff.
