Key Features
More patient details: The new NOVABoard displays key details beyond client and patient names. You can now see the patient’s ID, breed, age, gender and altered status, weight, CPR status, and alerts. When you select the patient’s name, the system navigates you directly to their NOVASheet.
Presenting complaints visible on board: The patient’s presenting complaint displays in its own column on the NOVABoard, so you can immediately see what each patient is currently being treated for.
Critical patients are visually identified: A ‘Critical’ badge displays for all patients marked as being in ‘Critical Condition'.
Visit alerts: Visit-specific alerts added to the NOVASheet Details display on the NOVABoard beneath the patient alerts (separated by a horizontal line).
Provider, Care Team, and Department: The NOVABoard sources information in real-time from the NOVASheet, so you can see which provider is currently treating the patient and which department they are in. The NOVABoard also displays the patient’s assigned care team members.
Location: To help you keep track of which patient is where, the selected Ward and Kennel display in both the far-left Patient Details column and in individual columns on the NOVABoard.
View the number of past due and currently due treatments: The Patient Details column displays both the number of past due treatments (in red) and the number of treatments currently due within the hour (in green).
Edit NOVASheet Details: From the action menu (vertical ellipsis), you can edit all of the NOVASheet Details except the current provider and department. (Our Transfer Patient feature is designed specifically for editing the patient’s assigned provider and department!)
View treatment list: Just like in the previous NOVABoard design, you can select a cell in an hourly treatment column to view all of the treatments due for that patient within the hour. You can also select View Sheet to navigate to their NOVASheet.

Personalize Your View of the NOVABoard
New filters and customization features enable you to tailor the NOVABoard to view the exact information you need.
Pin patients to the top of the board: To pin a patient’s row to the top of the NOVABoard, select the vertical ellipsis to open the action menu, then select Pin Patient. Pinned patients automatically display in alphabetical order. You can unpin a patient row from the same action menu.
Filter patients: You can filter your view of the NOVABoard to display patients by assigned provider, department, care team members, ward, and visit type.
Hide/Show columns: You can selectively hide and unhide all informational columns on the NOVABoard (everything except the first Patient Details column and the hourly treatment columns). Select the Reset button to return the NOVABoard to its default state, which displays all columns.
Sort the board alphabetically: Select the AZ filter in the Patient Details column to sort the board alphabetically by patient name.
Rearrange and resize columns: You can reorder and resize all informational columns as needed.
