WhatsApp is now available as a candidate messaging channel, alongside SMS. Once you connect a WhatsApp Business Account, it becomes the priority channel for reaching candidates, including in markets where SMS is limited, expensive, or unsupported, with automatic SMS fallback for candidates who aren't on WhatsApp.
Here's what's new:
WhatsApp as a messaging channel. Connect a WhatsApp Business Account from Settings > Integrations > Apps. Once connected, WhatsApp is attempted first for every message you send to a candidate.
Automatic SMS fallback. If a candidate isn't on WhatsApp, your message goes out over SMS instead, no manual switching needed.
Richer messages. The WhatsApp editor supports bold, italics, and lists, on top of what the SMS editor offers today.
Multi language support. WhatsApp's required opening message is sent automatically in English and any Language Kit language you've enabled (French, German, Greek, Spanish, Portuguese, etc.).
No extra setup for existing tools. Communication templates, bulk messaging, and automations all pick up WhatsApp automatically.
Available now on Premier, and Enterprise plans at no extra cost, and on Standard plans with the texting add-on.
