In Planner 1.0, users could create a customer before starting a reservation — a handy way to keep customer records tidy and accurate from the start. While this behavior existed under the legacy “create mode”, we’re now moving that concept forward into Planner 2.0.
As part of enhancing Planner 2.0, we plan to reintroduce customer-first booking flow. This means:
✅ You’ll be able to create or select a customer before making a booking.
✅ This ensures all new reservations are tied to the right customer from the beginning.
✅ It simplifies managing records and improves consistency across your system.
While we’re still early in planning this feature, it will build on the streamlined interface and performance improvements introduced in Planner 2.0. You can explore the current Planner 2.0 experience here: 📘 Planner 2.0 Overview
This update reflects a key piece of feedback: users want the structure and clarity of defining the who before the what when it comes to rentals. It also brings consistency to how you handle reservations—particularly for returning or known customers.
Let us know if you'd like to be part of early feedback for this improvement!
