Do you have something you want schools to know?
You can now post a teacher status update via your teacher profile and have it seen by schools you are attached to and schools who are looking to add or hire you.
The ‘teacher status update’ empowers teachers on the platform to share their voice and communicate to schools like never before.
Your teacher status update is 140 characters long and can be used as a way to let schools know you are on a block work, maternity leave or any type of leave or as a space to let schools know how far you are willing to travel or that you are open to full time opportunities.
The space is yours to use however you like!
For NSW Department of Education schools, you will notice a verification status on each teacher in your list and in Find Teachers. Teachers can see their current status under 'My Profile'.
The verification status is a new integration with the NSW Department of Education and is designed as a time saving tool for all NSW public schools who need to know teachers are accredited and approved to teach and have all of the mandatory training completed and logged on MyPL and e-Safety.
Permanent, temporary, block work and day to day casual positions in all types of schools in all parts of Australia and New Zealand. ClassCover is now offering schools a way to broadcast opportunities to thousands of teachers who use ClassCover and are local to the school to find the right talent.
It’s not just permanent and block work, but schools will also have the option to post for more casual teachers to be added to their ClassCover lists for when schools are actively looking to expand teacher pools. Schools can then auto add a teacher to their list who have applied in one click.
The ClassCover Jobs feature adds another layer of convenience for schools and opens up more work options for teachers.
Teachers will now have the option to be notified for jobs by both SMS and Push Notifications, giving 100% assurance that you will be alerted to opportunities.
Previously you could only choose to accept or decline a job by either SMS or Push Notifications and not by both simultaneously. While the majority of teachers experience no issues with their chosen means of notifications, there is a large enough group of teachers who do have issues which can be experienced for a variety of reasons (not set up properly, low internet or data coverage, low battery or multiple devices with ClassCover installed).
Need to send a booking request but know it’s probably not the best time for the teacher to respond?
Teachers often feel conflicted regarding what they do when receiving sought after booking requests whilst they are teaching a class. Do they monitor their phone, or leave it on silent and potentially miss out on days of work?
For schools, having requests sent out at times when sought after teachers might not able to respond due to being on class can lead to not booking the teacher they ideally wish to hire.
We’ve solved this issue and have just released a scheduled send option for schools so you can set up the booking and let it run at a chosen time that is more appropriate for the teacher to accept.
Teachers can now access the 'My Schools' tab on the ClassCover mobile app. Previously available on the web version only, the addition to the mobile app gives teachers more functionality and control in-app.
The My Schools tab allows teachers to view the schools that they are attached to, deregister or appear unavailable.
To access this feature in-app, update the the latest version and go to Account > My Schools
