ClassCover has just launched shareable Teacher Portfolios, allowing you to build out your career portfolio via your ClassCover profile and switch your profile to live to share with schools and other potential employers to see.
Here you can showcase your work history, teaching levels, subjects, skills, and attributes. These new additions are now available for you to fill out and update via your ClassCover profile.
You can use your shareable teacher portfolio link in your CV when applying for work in schools. Schools can then find you on ClassCover and add you to their regular booking list.
Your teacher portfolio is a way for you to show yourself off, be found, booked and employed, and acts as an online resume. Schools don’t have to be logged into ClassCover to be able to view your Teacher Portfolio.
👍 Good to know: Personal information, references and files are not shared on the public portfolio page. Schools who are logged in are able to view your full profile as usual.
💡 Top tip: Make sure you have your profile switched on to ‘Viewable to schools’ so that schools can connect directly to you from your profile. You can find this in your settings on the web version of ClassCover.
Turning this feature on is optional
We have been working on a new page for teachers that centralises all important information in the one place and is now your new homepage.
Your new teacher dashboard showcases:
Your dashboard is viewable in the web version of ClassCover. We will be releasing the dashboard on both iOS and Android apps soon!
We have been working on some improvements to provide you with high-value information on pages you frequent regularly. Updates made to the Booking History and Booking Request Inflight mode have been implemented based on your feedback and are designed to boost efficiency and make your job easier.
Check out what’s new below.
More information on each booking including the booking date (previously only showed date request was made)
After placing a booking, you are taken to the booking inflight mode. This page shows you the progress of your booking request which previously showed only basic information about how your job is progressing.
This page has now been updated with high-value information so you have more visibility on the booking progress.
Are you sick of sending out booking requests into the void? By combining the new features available to you on My Teachers with Insights and ClassCover Jobs, you now have more options to clean and refresh your list with ease and in a more efficient way.
We've put together a handy guide to show you what you can now do with ClassCover to ensure a healthy teacher list, resulting in healthy booking outcomes.
Do you have something you want to announce to your teachers on ClassCover? You can now broadcast messages to all your teachers at once in bulk, filter and choose a selected group or communicate to just one teacher.
The messages you send out will be sent as an email, straight to the teacher’s inbox. The email will state that the message has come from your school and will refer to the sender’s name.
You can segment who you choose to send messages to by filtering teachers by name, star rating, active/inactive, tags, and teaching level. You can then select as a group and a bulk email to that segment.
What type of messages can you send?
Schools can write anything in messages. You have 280 characters to use in the message with the option to include a supporting link to send the receiver to either read more or simply have a link to support your message.
Some good uses for using this feature;
Please note: If a teacher replies to your message, it will go to our support. If you want your message to be replied to, note the email address you would like the teacher to continue their correspondence with in the message.
Do you have something you want schools to know?
You can now post a teacher status update via your teacher profile and have it seen by schools you are attached to and schools who are looking to add or hire you.
The ‘teacher status update’ empowers teachers on the platform to share their voice and communicate to schools like never before.
Your teacher status update is 140 characters long and can be used as a way to let schools know you are on a block work, maternity leave or any type of leave or as a space to let schools know how far you are willing to travel or that you are open to full time opportunities.
The space is yours to use however you like!
