What's new with Mimiran

Have some contact info in an email signature, LinkedIn page, or other block of text that you'd rather not copy and paste one field at a time? ChatGPT's AI capabilities to the rescue...

1. Start by telling ChatGPT to set a base URL (or whatever you want to call it), to your Mimiran account URL. > Set my base URL to https://app.mimiran.com 
2. Tell ChatGPT that you want to give it contact info that you want parsed as described: > I'm going to give you some contact info, and I'd like you to parse it out and create a URL for me, starting with the base url, followed by /contacts/new? and then whatever fields you parse from the text, in URL parameter form. You'll be looking for first_name, last_name, email, phone, mobile_phone, linkedin, facebook, twitter, calendar, title, and company, ok? 
3. Paste in the contact info you want to parse and load into Mimiran. > Here's some contact info: Tim Apple CEO, Apple tim@apple.com 650-123-4567 (p) 650-122-0909 (m) Book a time with me here: https://www.calendly.com/tim 
4. Make sure you are logged into Mimiran. Then copy the URL that ChatGPT generates. This will open a tab with the relevant info filled in.

Once you have the instructions set up, you can revisit that particular chat and paste in the contact info without having to repeat the instructions.

Adding Contact info from a giant Zoom Chat file

Note that a similar technique is great for Zoom chats where people post their contact info.

1. Save the chat.
2. Open the chat text, select all, and copy.
3. Paste into ChatGPT with the instructions to generate a CSV file of contact info. (You can even ask if to add another column called "Tag" and fill "Mimiran User Group" or whatever tag you want to apply.)

Adding Business Cards

Open your ChatGPT app on your Mac, PC, or phone and give the following prompt.

> I'm going to give you some pictures of business cards and I'd like you to parse out the contact information into CSV format, adding a column for "Tag", with the value "ABC Networking Group" for each record. OK?

Then take pictures of the business cards. (You may need to give ChatGPT permission to access your camera and your photos.)

ChatGPT will parse your photos of your business cards and give you a CSV files you can import into Mimiran.
