We've added a bunch of new categories so you can categorise your games better! If your game is uncategorised right now, it will show a yellow warning icon. Click on the icon to choose a category, or request a new one.
We appreciate you correctly categorising your games so we can keep the public games organised. That makes it easier for everyone to find what they're looking for. A revamp of the public games page will be coming in the future!
As per feedback, we have added music support on the player devices.
If you launch a game in homework mode, the music will now play on the player devices as well and can be turned on or off using the game controls from the host screen.
In live mode, the music will only be on the host device.
Hope you like it!
We've added a "Animal Karts" avatar collection, featuring the same animal avatars but now each one in their own race kart!
We have added support for multiple choice imports from spreadsheet (.xlsx files) as a new way to add questions super quickly!
Click the file import icon to open the modal and upload your file:
💡Tip: Use this as an easy way to add your questions from other platforms by using their reports and copying the questions into the excel template.
If you enter URLs into your question text they will now automatically be detected and converted into a link which opens in a new tab.
This can be good if you want to set up a treasure-hunt type of quiz or add additional resources in the explanation section!
Often when you play a live race players will reach the end of the board and still have questions remaining. Since the goal is a race to the finish, the remaining questions are discarded.
This can be undesirable if you want students to get as much practice as possible. This is why we have introduced a continue questions functionality, which allows students to finish the questions for academic purposes - their score won't be affected.
This also means you don't have to worry about assigning more work for students who finish early 🥳
