Standardize the Education Filter
Improvement
Under Review July 28, 2026
The current education filter would be far more effective if it used standardized degree categories, similar to LinkedIn or Monster, rather than relying on free-text entries. Today, the filter contains numerous misspellings and variations (for example, "Bachelor," "Bachelors," "Bachelor's," and even misspelled versions like "Bachlor"), which makes searching inconsistent and unreliable. A standardized dropdown with degree levels such as: Associate's Degree Bachelor's Degree Master's Degree Doctorate (PhD) Professional Degree would significantly improve search accuracy, eliminate the need to guess spelling variations, and save recruiters valuable time. Recruiterflow could still map the education data from resumes behind the scenes, while presenting recruiters with a clean, consistent, and reliable search experience. This would be a meaningful usability improvement for anyone who relies on education as a search criterion.
