How to Properly Cancel Scheduled Appointments So Patients Don't Get Reminders
How to Properly Cancel an Appointment inside SeriousMD
As you know, SeriousMD has an automated reminder system for your patients so it is important to properly handle it inside the app. That way, they wouldn’t be notified of their appointment, even though they already asked to cancel/reschedule ahead of time.
Option 1: Remove the Appointment
- Go to the queue where your patient is scheduled.
- Click the patient’s name
- Select Remove Appointment
Option 2: Reschedule or just Cancel (to still see that the patient tried to schedule on that day in case you want to review)
- Simply click Cancel Appointment
- You will be given an option to cancel or reschedule the appointment
