I wish there was a way to hide a show from the Ticketbooth page. Sometimes we have shows we only want accessible via url, to schools only for instance. Usually we send the link to schools, and schools send it on to parents/teachers. Sometimes the code gets lost in this process. (We have also found the promo code setup is a bit awkward.) What would be ideal for us is to simply have the event hidden from the Ticketbooth page, so that the general public cannot have access to the booking url, but we can still share a url to schools/parents directly. At the moment, we can "enable booking" and not "list online", but this means then only Box Office can make bookings. We need people to be able to book online. If we "enable booking" and "list online", this show then appears in the Ticketbooth, which is also accessible to the general public. If the event could be hidden from the Ticketbooth, it would not be accessible to general public but still bookable online. This would be ideal.

We always try to prioritise development based on demand, and at the moment, we haven’t heard from many users who need an alternative to Exclusive Access.
The main reason we recommend using Exclusive Access with a promo code is that it adds a bit of helpful friction to prevent unintended bookings. Without a promo code blocking sales, it’d be very easy for someone to share a link more widely than intended. (A promo code can be shared too, of course - but it does make it a little less likely.) It also gives you extra control, like limiting tickets per customer by issuing unique codes to specific bookers.
As an alternative, some venues choose to manage their public “What’s On” listings on their own website, and then link customers through to Ticketsolve only for seat/ticket selection and checkout. That way, you control exactly which events are advertised publicly. If you also set the “Shows” link on your Ticketsolve site to redirect back to your own website, customers won’t be able to browse the full Ticketsolve listings page.
