Excel reports show negative numbers as text

In reports downloaded in Excel, negative numbers appear as text, not numbers. That means that in order for us to carry out calculations they have to be replaced first with numbers, otherwise Excel gives an error message (like #VALUE!) or they are omitted. This bug makes a lot of additional work (especially if we have to do a lot of refunds) and does not make TicketSolve reporting very user-friendly.

Hi Peter,
Thanks so much for sharing this feedback.
We’ve looked into it and were able to recreate the issue on our side, so I’ve passed it on to our development team to investigate further.
In the meantime, we’ve tested the CSV download format and found that all numbers, including negative ones, come through as general text, which might be a helpful workaround while we work on resolving the issue with the XLS format.
I’ll keep you updated here as soon as we have any news.

Hi Peter,
Good news, this has now been fixed! I have tested on my side and the negative numbers in XLS format look to be recognised as numbers now, if you wouldn't mind confirming it looks correct now for you too?

Hi Peter,
Thanks for this. I have shared this with the team, and they suggested that one option that may work for you already is the option to toggle on the "Exclude Order type from display" option when running the Daily Payments Reconciliation report. This removes the box office/phone/online split and combines the totals.
