We have a number of seats that have restricted views of the stage. We have them highlighted on the seat map - they are assigned and exclusive. Same ticket prices apply (for now!). We have different colours on full/partial restricted views seats and on the default seating. In Box Office, when you click on one of these seats, the only ticket option is full/restricted view - thereby highlighting this to the Box Office Assistant so they can instruct the customer. From a public pov, the seats are in different colours with an explanation in the ticket options. But selecting one of these seats doesn't show only the restricted option(s). It would be good to mimic the Box Office on the public pov to reinforce with customers that the seat they're choosing has restricted view.
Thanks for this feedback 😊 I’ve shared it with the team, and we completely understand why filtering to the available ticket price as soon as a seat is selected would feel more intuitive online.
At the moment, though, the seat selection flow is intentionally set up so customers can see the full range of prices and seat options while they’re choosing - using the colour coding to show what’s available.
Because this would be a platform-wide change that would affect most users - and this is the first time this request has come up - we won’t be making this change right now.
That said, I’ll keep this post open, and if more users share the same need, we can absolutely revisit it in future. Sorry to be coming back to you with another 'no for now', but I hope that the reasoning makes sense.
