Notification for Open Basket for Box Office

We have had some issues with carts not being closed and then the system reaping the tickets and processing the transactions. A feature that notifies the user within x amount of time ( 1 hour?) to remind them to close the basket would improve our reporting and financial reconciliation processes massively, as this is causing a lot of issues!

Hey Kate,

Thanks so much for sharing this request 😊 It’s not something we’ve had come up before, and we don’t currently have plans to build a feature like this, but I’ve shared it with the team for future consideration. I’ll also leave this post here to see if it resonates with other users too.

In the meantime, the best workaround would be to add a quick step before someone pauses or ends their sales session: head to Box Office > Carts. From there, you can see all open carts, including the cart type (e.g. Box Office) and the user who created it. That makes it easy to find any active carts and either open them to complete the order, or empty them to close the cart and prevent tickets from being reaped later on.

I know that’s not quite the same as having a dedicated feature for it, but hopefully it helps for now. And if this request does pick up interest across the wider user base, we can absolutely take another look!
