Tasks filter in Project's menu Hotfix

1.10.13

Fixed:

When implementing synchronization, we accidentally added the "Days" filter for tasks in the Projects menu. In result, the tasks that weren't set to "Today", weren't displayed in the Projects menu tab.

We fixed the issue.

Just forget it, it was a gas leak and no aliens involved:

Synchronization

1.10.2

Get the wholesome perspective of your workday! You may finally switch between your work and home computers, or work from any laptop with Y-Productive. Your data, such as tasks, projects, categorization preset, settings, and stats will be transferred seamlessly.

The synchronization works by the principle of switching and "activating" the computer you work with:

Let's briefly explain how it works.

Say, you have an office laptop A and home laptop B. If you worked with laptop A, and later switched to work with laptop B, Y-Productive will ask you to activate tracking on laptop B (and vice versa).

It is done to record only the data related to your work process, and to prevent overwriting your information with dummy activities just because your other computer decided to wake up for the update, or if somebody else started your other computer at home. The #2 on the screenshot list explains a rare case when you worked on computer A with an Internet connection, and then switched to the computer B which is offline (and you didn't activate it before going offline). Such data will not be saved.

If you only use one computer, or did activate your current device before going offline, everything will be fine.

This feature is fairly new and we don't have a department of QAs, so if you'll experience any troubles, or still have questions about how it works, feel free to reach out. I will be glad to help.

Have a nice time synchronizing!

What we're working on:

The local data storage feature, to ensure the option for the bulletproof data security for any of you who want to keep their data closer to the body.

AFK mode improvements, preset categorization for new users and various fixes

1.9.5

What's new:

  • Preset Categorization. All the newly created profiles will get the preset categorization (~500 apps and websites) to ease getting started with Y-Productive. This change won't affect the categorization of the existing users.

Hint:  As the activities with the most used time go up in the Categorization list automatically, the idea here is that apps and websites you actually use will take the top places, and all the non-relevant activities will go down, so it will simplify getting Y-Productive personalized and setup for work.

  • Focus Mode toggle button in the tray (for Mac users, Windows users already have it). You may now set Focus mode on/off from the tray menu.

Improvements:

  • AFK mode better states detection. AFK mode will now detect your power state changes(lock/sleep/hibernate/shutdown/restart/signout) which must result in a better usage experience.
  • Window size/position saver. The app window will remember the size and the position you last opened the app with.

Fixes:

  • Fixed brush group slot select;
  • Fixed potential infinite or delayed app closing;
  • Prevented the install-extension-popup from showing for those who log in with FB profile;
  • Chart auto-scrolling is more smooth now.

What we're working on:

  • The synchronization between different computers. It is nearly finished and we test it within the team now. The approximate release is in 2-4 weeks.
  • Summary Reports for activities. We'll release it in a couple of weeks after the sync feature.
  • Categorization Profiles. The long-awaited feature, will be released after the reports for activities.
